Fun in the Sun

What a beautiful day it was today. Rylie loves her new Dora bike she got for Christmas. She especially loves to fill the secret compartment under the seat. Whenever she is missing something I always try there first.

Teaching someone to jump rope is a lot harder than you'd think. Everytime I would try and help her I would have to go over in my head how to do it. She's got a lot of practicing to do.

Christopher just crawls out to the middle of the driveway really fast and then just sits there. We blew bubbles to entertain him today
We have an announcement to make: We are expecting a new family member in about 3 weeks and here she is.............any name suggestions?

Note to self: When Christopher is missing check the coat closet.....

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Some Random Days

School went back this week, the girls were so happy. Rylie woke up Monday morning telling me to get up its time to go to school. For those who don't remember, this is a HUGE difference from her 6 months ago. Mommy was happy school was back too :)

Christopher went on his first coin operated "ride" I guess you would call it. I chose to use the firetruck...can you believe they cost 75 cents! Well started off good he was smiling but as soon as the siren came on he stuck out his bottom lip and got very mad. I didn't get to catch the madness on camera because he was leaning to get off. Guess I won't be starting that habit at the mall....just think of all the money I will save although he does like Auntie Anne's pretzels.

The girls love storytime at the library. They have one at night that they call bedtime stories. The kids wear their pj's and they do some dancing and tell some stories and always finish with a puppet show. It's pretty fun actually so thanks for paying your taxes so we can have libraries.

I took Christopher to the park the other day to get some fresh air and swing a bit. Well I guess new parks don't have swings! What is this world coming to? The last time I took him to swing at a different park the swings were all down. Anyway this new park has artificial grass which was great since Christopher's not walking and he didn't hardly get dirty.

Christopher and I met our friends Brandon and Nancy at the library for baby storytime. The weather has been so great so afterwards we decided to take the boys to the park. Trying to get these two in the same picture was quite challenging.

So as of right now its back to normal life here. I can't believe Christopher is turning 1 in 9 days, that's crazy to me! Have fun and be back soon!

Happy New Year!

We had a fun evening here at the Abb house. Chris had to do the early shift at work so he was in bed early and that left the kids and I to party it up for the new year. We had a fun party. Gracie requested fruit salad, Rylie brownies and I wanted Mozzarella sticks. So that's what was on the menu. Christopher only made it until around 9:30 and then he conked out on us.

So the girls and I played the Wii High School musical most of the night until it was time for the ball to drop. Gracie is really good at this game, it just amazes me. Basically what you do is sing the songs from the movie and then it gives you a grade based on your pitch, tune and some other things. She gets A+ (Rock Star) on several songs, especially the slower more dramatic ones. Rylie and I settle for mostly C's (keep on Trying) We got a B every once in a while.

Gracie didn't really get why we had to turn it off right before midnight for the countdown but once she figured it out she was all into it. We counted down and ran outside with our noisemakers and screamed and watched the fireworks. We came in and told Daddy Happy New Year and I think we were all in bed by 12:10. Hope you all had a great New Years and we are looking forward to see what excitement 2008 has in store for us.

Santa was good

Well I guess all the kids were on the good list this year, Santa brought some serious loot. Christmas morning I actually woke up first and couldn't stand to think of missing the initial excitement so I went and laid on the couch. Chris soon followed. It seemed like forever but then all of a sudden I heard Gracie say, "Rylie its morning, come on wake up" They had been instructed to wake us up first but I wasn't so sure that would happen. Chris and I hid in the kitchen and instead of heading to the presents they went to see if Santa ate his cookies and the reindeer their food. They were so excited. We had to go wake up Christopher so he wouldn't miss any of the fun.

I'd have to say this was my best Christmas yet. I can't imagine what the next few years will be like, lots of chaos I am sure. That's what makes it fun right?

Gracie is obsessed with drawing, she wanted me to take a picture of this artwork.

Christopher's hair keeps getting curlier and curlier...you can see it some in this picture. Plus I just think this picture is cute~

I am going to figure out this picture thing so there isn't all this unused space so bear with me.
